ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This workshop is probably one of the most important you can attend in order to increase your leadership skills. Organisational life unfolds in a network of conversations, and therefore the quality of those conversations has a significant impact on the culture, the mood, the problem-solving capacity, and the success and sustainability of desired results or any change initiative.

As a conversation manager, the leader speaks and listens in a way as to maximise understanding, minimise distortion, and promote shared learning. These leaders also work with others to clarify their positions, test their assumptions, and produce a richer understanding of challenges and to foster stronger partnerships and agreements.

Based on Dean’s deep appreciation of the Asian culture and commitment to personal leadership development, he will work with you to generate insights about your actions, predilections, and possible blind-spots, distilling the key principles of successful organisational communication into practical skills and tips for leaders, like you, to move your conversations from purpose to impact.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

By the end of the workshop, participants will learn:

  • Develop your conversational and communication capacity so that you can better exercise leadership and mobilize individuals and groups to tackle problems, learn from error, and achieve breakthrough results.
  • Converse more powerfully with others to resolve differences and address troubling issues and concerns.
  • Generate healthy partnerships and enroll others as contributors to important programs and initiatives.
  • Use leadership conversations to advance the adaptive work of change.
